The United Way Endowment
For more than fifty years, United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley has successfully developed and deployed the human and financial resources necessary to identify and address this community's health and human service needs. Traditionally, we have depended on the annual United Way campaign to provide these crucial resources. Each year, area citizens of every means demonstrate their support for the essential services provided by United Way programs. Today's donors express confidence in United Way's ability to help those who need it most, right now.
But what about fifty years from now? In response to the challenges and opportunities presented by our unpredictable future, we have created the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley Endowment. The Endowment is a special fund, separate from the annual campaign, which will become a vital resource for our community. United Way developed the Endowment for people like you who wish to make a positive impact on the quality of life in the Chattahoochee Valley today and in the future.
The Endowment will house a permanent reservoir of funds, including the proceeds from bequest and other planned gifts, the principal of which will be responsibly invested to produce annual income. This income may be used in a variety of ways to benefit and support United Way's mission:
- Fund special grants for critical needs.
- Assist during community crises and unexpected disasters.
- Selectively expand United Way's services.
- Complement annual agency allocations, among other important functions.
With your help, the Endowment will provide a strong financial base that will enable United Way to meet changing community needs well into the future.
