Live United Youth Council

Live United Youth Council is a student-led community change organization in the Chattahoochee Valley. With support from United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley and representatives from each participating school, students in Live United Youth Council help impact the community, grow as leaders and develop relationships within the non-profit sector.

GOALS

ADVOCATE: Educate members and other students about critical community issues in the areas of Basic Needs, Income, Health and Education.
VOLUNTEER: Serve, and recruit peers to serve, in meaningful ways to create lasting change.
GIVE: Fundraise and be responsible for investing those funds to help address critical issues facing the Chattahoochee Valley.

COMMITMENT

Participants serve as a Live United Youth Council representative for 8 months. Meetings are on the second Thursday of most months from 4-5:30 p.m. at United Way Partner Agencies. Students are responsible for their own transportation to meetings and volunteer projects.

FINANCE

There will be no dues for Live United Youth Council membership. Fundraising monies will be the primary source of revenue that Youth Council will be able to allocate to nonprofit agencies in the Chattahoochee Valley.
