2008 Children's Book Drive
Special events address some of the many needs of our community by mobilizing diverse groups of caring individuals, who come together for one or more days of volunteer service and civic engagement.
The 2008 Children's Book Drive is the project selected for this year's United Way Day of Action. The book drive will focus on collecting new and gently-used books for children ages 0-10. Several corporate book drives will be held, as well as a community-wide book drive. The books will be distributed to more than 20 youth agencies to utilize within their programs.
