Anyone who desires to can perpetuate a gift, endow an annual
contribution, or perhaps honor a loved one with a living
personal or memorial fund, thus leaving a legacy of caring
through the Foundation. Planned giving assists generous
and committed citizens in contributing through a variety
of ways over the course of many years, while still providing
for themselves and their families. Such gifts allow people
like you, who are dedicated to the future well-being of
their community, to make meaningful, enduring statements
about their concerns.
Planned giving does not replace the need for annual donations,
but rather augments opportunities for both you and United
Way. There are many planned giving options from which to
choose:
- Outright gifts of cash, stock or other assets.
- Bequests in a will.
- Charitable gift annuities or charitable remainder unitrusts.
- Life insurance, retirement plans or split interest gifts.
- Trust arrangements that benefit your surviving spouse.
- Income producing gifts that will provide for you and
your family.
Planned giving allows you to arrange
your assets to benefit you, your loved ones and your favorite
charities now and into the future. Your attorney or financial
advisor can guide you in choosing the best way to make a gift
that fulfills your needs while doing the most good for others.
A planned gift to the Foundation will positively influence
the quality of life in the Chattahoochee Valley today, but
more importantly, your gift will help preserve and enrich
the quality of life for future generations. There is no
better nor more secure way to leave a lasting impression
on our community than by contributing to the United Way
of the Chattahoochee Valley Foundation.
