The United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley (UWCV) Finance Committee meets six times per year to review expenditures and financial statements, and assists in setting fiscal policies, information systems policies, and human resources policies.
The Committee Chair gives a financial status report at the monthly Executive Committee and Board of Directors meetings. The Committee and the Board of Directors approve the annual budget and audited statements.
The UWCV finance staff has regular and frequent contact with the Committee members. The finance staff is authorized and expected to contact the Committee should they have concerns regarding any transaction at UWCV. UWCV only records written pledges to give. Verbal commitments of what might be pledged are not accepted.
